About
About
People Made Machine (PMM) is a technology consultancy building a borderless culture of innovation. They combine remote work with venture-driven opportunities, helping teams move faster, think bigger, and build smarter across industries and borders.

Challenge
The IT industry is crowded with consultancies chasing the same talent and top-tier projects. PMM’s original name didn’t reflect their ethos or spark interest with the people they wanted to reach. They risked blending into a saturated market without a clear brand strategy or unifying visual identity. The brief: help PMM stand out, attract bigger clients, and become a magnet for top tech talent.
Andre brought a rare mix of creative intuition and design precision to People Made Machines. He took our ideas and gave them form in ways we hadn’t imagined, but instantly felt right. A truly original thinker and a brilliant collaborator.
— Alf Ruben Kvamme, CEO, PMM
SOLUTION
During my time as a partner and designer at Duties, I co-led the transformation of PMM from the ground up. We defined their brand and content strategy, developed an ownable name—People Made Machines—and created a bold visual identity and website. The identity nods to the visionary spirit of retro technology while intentionally challenging what a future-facing consultancy is expected to look like. A color palette mixing academic tones with vibrant hues strikes a balance between authority and approachability, while classic serif fonts lend credibility and clean sans-serif typefaces add a sharp, modern contrast. Dynamic, evolving illustrations reflect the shifting nature of AI and innovation, giving the brand an engaging and contemporary edge that speaks to a broad audience.
Through strategic positioning and comprehensive competitor analysis, we built a foundation for PMM’s brand evolution and launched them as a confident, recognizable contender from day one. We designed their identity to stand out visually and communicate their ethos—a belief in the human creativity behind every machine and innovation.
The name itself is a reminder that people created the technologies shaping our world—not the other way around.
